一、Entrepreneurial development (1875-1929)
In 1875 (the first year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty), Wang xingzhai, a famous fan maker, established "Wang xingzhai Fan Village" in fan lane of Hangzhou, which was originally a family workshop.
In 1893, "wangxingzhai Fan Village" entered Shanghai to open a sales department, and high-grade black paper fans were offered to the royal family, which was honored as "tribute fans".
In 1901, WANGXINGJI Fanzhuang was officially listed in yangmeixie street, Beijing, and distribution points were set up in Shanghai, Tianjin and Shenyang. Wang Xingji's position, together with Zhang Ziyuan's and Shu Lianji's, is known as the three famous fans in Hangzhou.
In 1909 (the first year of Xuantong), Wang xingzhai died of fatigue and illness. His wife Chen Yingdan took up the production and operation of Fan Village and assisted his son Wang Ziqing and his son to inherit his father's business.
In 1929, Wang Ziqing opened Fanzhuang sales department in taipingfang, Hangzhou (now located at No. 192, North Zhongshan Road). In the same year, it registered the trademark of "Samsung brand" fan with the government.
In 1929, Wang Xingji fan won the gold medal in the exhibition competition of the first Hangzhou West Lake Expo Art Museum. Since then, the business performance has surpassed the original "shulianji" Fan Village, and has become the first fan industry in Hangzhou.
